I'm children's author and playwright, Mike Steele. My debut middle-grade novel, Not Lucille, will be available from Creative James Media on June 24, 2025. I also have eight plays published and licensed for production in the school play and theater for young audiences markets. By day, I'm a school librarian, working with students in pre-k to fifth grade. I love creating funny characters and stories that make my students laugh. In my spare time, I enjoy attending plays and musicals, dabbling in mixed-media art, and going for long walks that get me lost (but allow me to discover incredible places). I live at the Jersey Shore with my rescue tabby cats, Karen and Sox. If you spot me in the wild, I usually have a bubble tea in my hand! Learn more about me...
